June was first done as a Quilt along in the month of June, 2021, it is now available in a printed format. It is categorized as a Stripology Mixer pattern as you can either use a combination of 10″ squares and 2-1/2″ strips or Fat Quarters. You can use the Stripology XL or Squared ruler but instructions for using regular rulers are included. The pattern comes with multiple layout options and 4 different size options: Crib, lap, full, and king.

In Gudrun’s own words – and you can’t get any better than that: The striking look of Astrid is much easier to create using the Stripology XL ruler with a focus fabric and some 2-1/2″ strips or fat quarters. Instructions for using regular rulers are included. The pattern comes with 3 different size options: lap, twin, queen/king.

Steamy Windows Supersized is the oversized version of the Steamy Windows pattern. This is another perfect pattern for large scale prints, flannels and whenever you want to make a really quick and easy quilt. Plus, it utilizes fat quarters very economically. The pattern comes with 4 different size options: crib, lap, full, queen/king.

A Quilt As You Go project, the Grab N’ Go Tote measures 12-1/2″ x 21″ x 13-1/2″. A great option is to use a laminated fabric for a water resistant base then add your favorite 5″ squares and fabrics for lining, handles and binding. We recommend using Soft & Stable foam from byannie.com for a sturdy, yet pliable bag. This project was first published in the Fast & Furious Family book which is discontinued but revised pattern has a slightly smaller finish.

Easier than it looks, Lil’ Helena is made with 5″ squares of dark and light fabrics, a border fabric and the Stripology Squared Mini Ruler. Full color instructions include how to use regular rulers as well. Size 16″ x 40″.

LOL (Lots of Little) Squares

The LOL quilt series from RJ Designs are unique variations of the traditional Irish Chain design.

Gudrun Erla and I designed these – so I am a little prejudice – but the response has been amazing! We have both had ours for several months and can’t believe how nice they are!

It took almost two years to get it right – and boy did we get it right! I have been working with a prototype for a few months now – and they are WONDERFUL! All sizes, rack, and assortment are in stock and starting to ship today.

The three larger sizes of the Creative Grids® Rotary Cutting Mats are double sided. One side features one-inch grids with eighth inch markings over the entire surface. All numbers are printed outside of the grid area so they are always visible. Popular 1-1/2 inch cuts are highlighted with white stars; 2-1/2 inch cuts with white squares.

The other side of the smallest 6 x 8 inch mat is blank – perfect for trimming blocks.

The other side of the three larger sizes are designed to use with the Creative Grids® Stripology series of rulers by Gudrun Erla. Line up the fabric and rulers on the spaced horizontal half inch grid lines. That is all you need – no other distracting markings and lines are needed!

Now all you have to do is choose your size: 12 x 18; 18 x 24, or 24 x 36 inches.

Stripology Mixology Drinks

For those of us who love the Stripology Mixology book by Gudrun Erla – and who doesn’t – the recipes are now available separately!

Everyone who knows Gudrun knows that she loves to cook and what goes great with everything? Her very own cocktail recipes! All of the recipes from the book are now available on a keychain printed on laminated cards. How cute is that???

Twelve Days of Christmas – Part One

Not only were all of these items hot at Market, but I also worked Festival and the Novi show in Michigan – and the consumers agree!

The Creative Grids® Stripology Squared Mini is a definite hit. Everyone loves the size and maneuverability of this baby! Designed to square up blocks up to 6 1/2″, I immediately learned that it is my go-to tool when sub-cutting strip sets. (The acrylic raises over the seams so there is no teeter-tottering like your experience with a traditional ruler.) Plus there are five patterns that support it. Offer it for Christmas and offer classes or demos featuring the patterns the first of the year.

Stripology Mixology is the perfect companion to ALL of the Creative Grids® stripology rulers. The book features 13 quilts made from pre-cuts – and tells you how to cut your own. And who doesn’t want a cocktail over the holidays – recipes included!

The portable Reliable Iron is amazing! It is not only an iron, but it is also a steamer. It gets to a temperature of over 300 degrees in a short amount of time. The bag is insulated so you can leave class before the iron is entirely cool – just leave the long cord on the outside of the bag. Another feature – the outside of the bag has a silicone side to use as a rest when in use. This one is a winner!

What good is an iron without a great ironing mat? These Gypsy Quilter mats come in a variety of sizes. The 13 1/2″ mat is one of the most popular sizes since it is big enough to press a 12 1/2″ block!

Stripology Squared

Gudrun Erla of GE Designs has just released her third book featuring her top selling Stripology ruler – and all I can say is WOW!

For those of you who are already fans, Stripology Squared features ten patterns that ALL use layer cakes.
