Nancy Halvorsen’s Wonder Lane

I have been writing this newsletter since the very first issue, and this is the first time I have seen a block of the month series with ALL 12 patterns in the top 100 on the Checker website! Why? Because Nancy has thought of everything! Each reasonably priced booklet features a center block with a monthly theme surrounded by three different pieced blocks. Each month, your customers can make a wall hanging that all measure the exact same size.

Wander Lane by Nancy Halvorsen

See what’s happening On Wander Lane this month with Schoolhouse Haven On Wander Lane by Art to Heart. This 8-1/2″ x 11″ pattern offers a block of the month stand alone quilt measuring 30″ square, plus six additional projects including an additional appliqué and pieced quilt, a table topper, a pot holder, pillows, mini quilt and mug rug! The main appliqué block and one each of the three pieced border blocks is used to make the large “On Wander Lane” BOM quilt measuring 60″ x 72″. There’s lots of fun happening On Wander Lane!

The remaining books in the series offer the same potential.

Nancy’s projects always make me smile. She is so creative when it comes to creating programs for shops and quilters as well. I love this latest idea. She will be releasing 6 new booklets next month and six more in the Fall. Each booklet includes a portion of a quilt that can be combined into a completed block of the month quilt. But this is the genius of Nancy! Each booklet includes smaller projects that can be companions to the finished quilt. Or, quilters can choose to make the smaller projects instead! Talk about getting the most bang for your buck!

HoHoHo with Nancy Halvorsen

Nobody knows how to add that awe factor to any holiday like Nancy Halvorsen! And she is back with her latest fabric line with Benartex – Better Not Pout. Of course, there is a book with 20 projects to support the line as well!

Houses are everywhere this season – including in the companion fabric line, available in a white or navy background:

She also included some stocking panels which are so cute, you will want to make some just to fill with gifts instead of wrapping paper. There are two different panels to choose from and she even remembered the cat and dog!

Each panel is approximately 2/3 of a yard.

Her tea towels are so popular that she is now offering them in packages or on bolts!

Home Grown by Nancy Halvorsen

What can I say??? Nancy continues to amaze me with every line – and book – she does! In Home Grown, she showcases those values that we all try to achieve in our own lives.

And, in typical Art To Heart style, she has thought of everything! The fabric collection from Benartex – Home Grown by Nancy Halvorsen will be available next month – and comes in ten or 15-yard assortments.

I have showcased her signature teal below just so you can see some detail, but all of the colors are gorgeous. Gray is the new neutral – and she has that covered as well!

I have always loved what she does with tea towels…

With this line, she offers a set of six tea towels which can be used to make the projects above.

OR, buy them by the bolt! These yarn dyes are 43 – 44 inches wide.

Just look at the details on these individual blocks of the cover quilt.

Look what you can do with a panel!!!

Of course, it doesn’t stop there! The embellishments add that awe factor to each block!

These buttons are available for individual blocks are as an entire set. Why not do this as a block of the month? Imagine this Quilt on Your Wall

I wrote about Nancy Halvorsen’s newest book – Imagine – a few weeks ago – and now it is #1!

Nancy Halvorsen fans know that her embellishments add the awe factor to all of her designs. And now the button packs are entered in our system. There are individual button packs when needed for each individual block as well as an assortment for all of the buttons needed for the entire quilt.

The button packs and the fabric are all due to arrive the end of this month so order everything you need now so you can start kitting immediately.

A Legend Has Returned

There are few people who truly have achieved legendary status in our industry – and when you combine talent with a gracious, kind and warm personality, you have Nancy Halvorsen! And I am thrilled to announce that she has returned with a new book and line of fabric that you are sure to love!

Bree has mass appeal! It is colorful, happy, and charming – an irresistible combination! And for those of you who were looking for an updated version of 30’s fabric, it has arrived!

The line has 38 bolts and is available in 10 and 15 yard cuts as well as 2 1/2″ strips and fat quarters. The focus print comes in several colors and is a stunning paisley.

The checks have little dots running vertically and horizontally to add extra interest to the piece. I can’t wait to use this as a binding!

And then there are the swirls…..

And a book that ties them all together…This book includes a block the month cover quilt with words that are sure to inspire along with 21 projects for every season!
