The Healing Quilt by Crabapple Hill Designs

What a wonderful idea! The embroidered blocks have words of encouragement as shown on the back cover. This is the perfect choice for a group quilt for a friend who is going through a tough time.

A group of caring friends can easily and quickly make this lovely, warm quilt for someone in need of love and support. Pattern pages are separate so it’s easy to divvy up! We all have different skill sets so the blocks can be chosen based on the individual skill sets of the contributors involved.

Encouraging words when they’re needed most, and lots of flowers to spread love and happiness. This quilt has a bit of everything… piecing, applique, English paper piecing, and hand embroidery. Back it with a Minky type backing for an extra warm, cuddly feel. It’s the perfect, generous size for tucking in while seated whether at home, in the car, or sitting for hours in waiting rooms or treatments.

This pattern is due to arrive in June, so place your orders now!

New Block of the Month from Crabapple Hill

Ready for a new Halloween Block of the Month? Meg has you covered! Her descriptions are almost as clever as the blocks:

BLOCK #1

We’ve waited all year for the annual Witch’s Faire! As soon as you walk into the clearing, you’ll pass by the Pumpkin Scarecrow. Every year it seems larger! This pattern is the first of the Witch’s Faire Block of the Month Series and contains the assembly directions for the entire quilt along with the first embroidered block. Colored pencil tinting and very simple embroidery along with very easy quilt piecing make this an easy stitch! There are appliqued pennant banners at the top of the quilt, and you can use your favorite method to apply them. Have fun at the Faire!

Block #2:

Let me introduce you to Finoozala Groop! She was crowned the Queen of Halloween at this year’s Halloween Faire. It may have gone to her head a bit? Finoozala is the proud owner of Groop’s Spider Emporium in Hocuspocusville. If you need quality spiders, she has everything from single horrific ones… to the ever-popular bulk packages of 144 somewhat mediocre specimens. Infest your house in style at Groops!… YIKES, my worst nightmare!

Both should arrive any day, just in time for your new class line-up!

Bike Trip!

These gals are having way too much fun on this retreat!  Now they are biking into town to do some major shopping!  Can’t wait to see what is in their baskets.

For those of you not familiar with this embroidery block of the month by Crabapple Hill, there are six patterns in the series.  Five patterns are embroidery designs and the final pattern gives instructions on how to put the entire project together.

It is kind of a mystery because you don’t know what the completed quilt will look like or at this point, what the final embroidery is!  And, frankly, that is part of the fun.  Everything that Meg Hawkey does is amazing so we know we will love it!

The latest installment is due to arrive in September so order it now.  Don’t forget to order extras of the first three installments for those who are late to arrive at the party.  The floss colors for each pattern are listed as companions on the website so be sure to have those in stock as well!

The Witches of Salem have Arrived

CAH347In this third of a four part series (#CAH347), the Salem Guild Meeting is in session!  This is the last of the embroidery panels so your customers can have all of them completed before the finishing pattern is released!
All three embroidery panels measure 15″ x 42″.  With the addition of the pieced blocks included in the final pattern in the series being released later this year, the final quilt will measure 57″ x 72″.
Be sure to have the recommended Cosmos thread on hand.  For ease of ordering, they are all listed as companions to each pattern on the Checker website.

Order the first two patterns (#CAH345 and #CAH346) so those shop hoppers can buy the collection – and offer the flosses required as a kit as well.  You know they like one stop shopping!
