Row by Row Experience Update

I got to attend the Row by Row Experience schoolhouses.  Drum roll please…as of that schoolhouse, over 3,200 shops are participating this year!  Here are the most popular patterns and companions – all are in the top 100.

These two patterns – Welcome (#PXR01) and Butterfly House (#PXR02) which feature the license plates from Patchabilites were huge hits!  The nine inch Ackfeld Hanger (#33062) is the perfect way to display them.

RQD113

License to Play (#RQD113) is a throw size quilt that uses 24 of the license plates that can be collected from participating Row by Row shops.  It is fat quarter friendly so it is easy to kit.  This pattern would also be easy to adapt to any size – depending on how many plates are collected.

This Car Caddy (#CLPCLA041) fits over the headrest in your car.  Why not make two – one for each seat so your traveling companions can be organized.  And this throw features the new Creative Grids Half Square Triangle tool.

To see all of the fabrics and companions for the Row by Row Experience, visit our website and search Row by Row Experience. If they aren’t in stock, order anyway.  The buyers are on top of it and already have inventory arriving!

The Perfect Summer Project!

HHD101Talk about the perfect portable project!  These mini wooden hoops (#HHD101) frame a design that is slightly less than 1 3/4″.  These “Made in America” minis are the perfect gift.  Each pendant comes with a jump ring to turn them into a necklace.  The pattern for the “Hello” design is included.
Or add a pin or a magnet on the back – or turn them into napkin rings for a special luncheon….the possibilities are endless!
Need some help with the designs?  Shirley Hudson has that covered as well….

HHD369
This pattern (#HHD369) includes twelve different designs – one for every season.  The pattern includes three different alphabets as well.  Two of the patterns can be personalized to your own needs.
Display both at the register – the perfect impulse buy that will have them coming back for more.  Why not have each employee make one – and wear them.  Walking, informed advertising is ALWAYS a good thing!  And, since they actually made one, they can explain how easy they are to frame and finish.  These are selling fast – but more are expected shortly so they will be here in plenty of time for the summer Row by Row Experience season!

Show your Row to its Best Advantage

This idea is simply brilliant!  Christine Van Buskirk has designed six different settings for the Row by Row Experience.  Picture your shop row in any or all of these quilts.  And the only thing that can make it better?  Each one features a different Creative Grids® tool.

Choose fabrics that compliment YOUR row and have kits available as well as the patterns.  But don’t stop there.  Use this as an opportunity to demonstrate one of the top selling Creative Grids® rulers.  This one is simply a win/win/win!

Another Successful Row by Row

The Row by Row Experience will go into hibernation on September 8.  Quilters have until October 31 to finish a quilt – that means quilted, bound, and labeled – and bring it to a participating store that has not yet had a winning quilt.

At the end of the day on September 8th, NO patterns or kits are to be sold or given away until November 1st!  After that date, stores can do whatever they like – including mailing kits.  Contact each participating store to see what they are doing.

ALL of these patterns that support the Row by Row Experience are in the top 100!  After your customers are done collecting them, they will want to USE them so why not host a class?

Row by Row Experience Joins Forces with Creative Grids

Now that you have registered your shop for the 2015 Row by Row Experience (//www.rowbyrowexperience.com/), it is time to design your row!  Why not design it around one of the Creative Grids specialty rulers?

C3674-ROW

The rules and entry forms are available once you log into the shop page on the Row by Row Experience website.  We made it super easy – and this year you have two chances to win.

Design your Row using one of the Creative Grids rulers on the list.  Send us the entry form, a pic and the instructions.  That’s it – super simple!  Have your customers like your row on the Creative Grids Facebook page to win!

Then, turn that Row into a project.  Whether it is the showcase of a quilt or a table runner, we want to see your row shine!  The entry form is on the Row by Row Experience shop page.

This is a win/win for everyone!  By using a CGR ruler in your row, you have a perfect demo as quilters are visiting your shop.  They will want the row AND the ruler.  Show them why you love CGR and why it is so easy to create beautiful rows and projects with them.  And, your rows and projects will be featured on the Creative Grids Facebook page – free advertising is always a good thing!

Row by Row Experience 2015

Row by Row is simply brilliant!  It is the brainchild of Janet Lutz, a shop owner in New York who wanted to create a shop hop that was shop friendly – easy to join and easy to participate.  In just five years, it has become a national – and international phenomenon.

Janet says:  Row by Row Experience began in 2011 with 20 quilt shops across New York State. In 2012 the event grew to include 62 participating shops. Pennsylvania came on board in 2013 for a total of 138 shops throughout the two states. In 2014 over 1250 quilt shops participated in 34 states and Ontario. Plans are underway for the biggest and best Row by Row Experience ever in 2015! All 50 states and several more Canadian provinces are planning fun for travelers throughout the summer. Although the quilt shops are organized by area, quilters have no borders. Travel, shop, collect patterns and add rows to your quilt from any anywhere!

The new theme – Row by Row H2O – has the creative juices flowing for all participating shops who are planning their rows and creating their patterns.  The coordinating fabric line by Timeless Treasures is darling too!  I’m tellin’ you ladies – it just gets better and better!

Row by Row Experience – And Creative Grids

I  visited several shops who are participating in the Row by Row Experience and they all say the same thing  – they are having the best sales ever!  I don’t mean summer sales – I mean all year!

1146578_716725815038888_523868923_n

Who could have designed such a great program?  A fellow shop owner, of course – Janet Lutz.  Over 1200 shops across the country and Canada have created a row.  Visit a participating shop to receive the free row pattern.  You still have time to participate.  Visit the site for more details:  //www.rowbyrowexperience.com/

Janet joined forces with Debra Gabel and, as they say, the rest is history.  Debra designed a line of fabric and supplied fabric license plates for interested participating shops.

The event doesn’t end until September 2 so everyone still has time to travel and play.

But what can you do now?  I mean right now?  Vote for your favorite rows that entered the Creative Grids contest.  The shops that used a CGR ruler to design their row are eligible for a supply of Creative Grids rulers.  Visit this link and “like” your favorites.  That is all there is to it.
