In her own words, assembling this easy whimsical sailboat quilt is as fun as a day at the seaside. Blocks and rows come together without the need to match any seams. Wave blocks are strip pieced for quick assembly. The sailboat blocks use stitch and flip techniques for the boat hull and for the half rectangle sail units.

Sail units are intentionally oversized then trimmed down to size for a perfect fit every time. A paper trimming template to pair with a standard quilting ruler is included. Quilt measures 50.5 in. x 67 in.

This 50.5 in x 67 in throw quilt was designed as a fun, quick project. The star blocks use a stitch and flip technique and are designed to make it impossible to accidentally cut off points. Wave blocks are strip pieced and require no seam matching.

There are also no seams to match when joining blocks or rows, making this a very stress-free design. While the cover quilt has a seaside vibe, the design would also look lovely in Christmas colors, or in any color combination to suit personal taste or a particular season.
