A New Twist for the Twister

It isn’t often that a notion catches the imagination of an entire industry – and becomes a staple.  But that is exactly what happened with the Twister – and the sizes that followed: the Lil Twister (Item #LILTWISTER); the  Bitty (Item #PRI946); and the Itty Bitty (Item #PRI321).

This series of patterns by Handcrafts by Jennifer shows just how versatile this tool is!  Many of them can be made in different sizes just by choosing a different size of Twister.

  1. I just wanted to say thankyou for getting the word out that there are smaller sizes of the “twister” templates.

However, Checker also sells Quilt Moments, & Needl’ Love, Pohlar Fabrics and my Raggedy Ruth Designs (and probably some I’ve overlooked) patterns that also provide multiple size quilts using the same twister tools as Handicrafts by Jennifer.

Why would you focus on just one designer instead of
promoting the entire concept by included all of the designers?

  2. There are simply too many patterns from several designers to include in one article. I chose Jennifer’s patterns because she had a bunny pattern that was selling well for Easter – as well as several other patterns that had a Spring feel.

In your case, your first five patterns were then combined into a book. I was waiting to see how that effected sales – and if the book would then replace the patterns.

You currently have three additional patterns that showcase these tools – but again, I was waiting until closer to Market to see if you submitted additional patterns or were going to combine these into a book as well. Hope this answers your question.

  3. It is so nice to see some of Jennifer’s patterns featured. We love them and they are very well written. Easy to understand not like some of them. We have carried all of them and Jen’s are loved. Penny has featured all the others many times before and I want to thank you Penny for putting Jen’s out in time for Easter. I look forward to seeing Uncle Sam for the Forth of July.
