New from Sassafras Lane

These are the newest patterns by the gals at Sassafras Lane. I love everything they do and these are over-the-top!

Happy Highway gives instructions for two sizes – a wall hanging and a quilt.

Fremont Circle showscases a modern take on the traditional log cabin block. It also includes instructions for two different sizes.

Damsel Drive can be made with 10″ squares or fat quarters and includes cutting instructions for three different sizes.

Kingston Court uses the Creative Grids 12 1/2″ 60 degree ruler (CGR12560) to create this stunning quilt and once again the cutting instructions are written for three different sizes.

Jungle Junction is a paper-pieced pattern that includes instructions to make the quilt in three different sizes. The tropical leaves are then added as an applique. AND there are no Y-seams!

The Bum Bag is the next in a series of bags by these gals – and it couldn’t be cuter. They even released the hardware required to make it.

All of these are due to arrive the middle of October so place your orders now.

Sassafras Lane Critters

This is one those books that you will pull out again and again. These 32 critters – each with their own personality – are combined in an amazing quilt.

They also give directions for a churn dash pillow so each little guy can stand on his own.

Can’t you see these guys framed as a grouping iin a nursery, the flap of a diaper bag, placemats for a special day? Basically, add a touch of whimsy to any project when you want to add a smile!

These gals love their accessories so they are releasing a pattern for the Natasha Tote as well. This tote is made from lined cork fabric, leather or vinyl so it doesn’t have to be lined and holds everything!

The pattern and book are both expected to arrive later this month. I can’t wait!

Put a Cork in It!

These new five yard bolts of 25-inch wide cork are due to arrive in March. I got to see them at Market – and couldn’t stop petting them – they really are that special!

They now come in designs and colors. Here are just a few examples…..

Pickle Pie Designs have several In the Hoop Designs that support this material. The luggage tags are gorgeous and include vinyl. What a great class – showing them what needles and threads to use to get such eye catching results! Buttonholes and top-stitching? A piece of cake!

The coasters would also be great wall decor in a teenager’s room. Can you see their name or school spelled out above a door??? Or “quilt shop”; “classroom” – you get the idea!

A little goes a long way. Sue O’Very used it to accent and reinforce the corners on this little purse; and as an accent on the zipper. Just a little adds a touch of class.

But let’s not forget the Corky Wallet from Sassafras Lane. It has been in the top 100 patterns for months. What a great Make and Take!

Get organized now! Order the cork, the patterns, and designate a space right by the register. They may have questions – and you will be right there to answer them!

Sassafras Lane Knows no Boundries

I have loved these gals for years! And their new releases at this Market shows their versatility and quirky personalities!

This pattern includes a complete alphabet so you can say whatever you want to say! I can’t wait to do a wall of inspirational sayings for everyone on my Christmas list! Cute, personal, and doable!

If you need a baby quilt, these critters can be personalized and are absolutely charming! The quilts finish to 40 x 54 inches and include full sized reversed images and alphabet so these really can be completed in an afternoon. Then stretch the other critters in a smaller size over a canvas for wall decorations.

Why not throw in some Christmas as well? These Santas and trees are a perfect way to use up scraps. They have even packaged the rings for you!

Told you! Three different genres – and all are stars! These will be arriving soon so place your order now!

Sassafras Lane Has Spiced It Up Again!

I love the creativity of the gals from Sassafras Lane and their Fall releases are better than ever! In this case, a picture is worth a thousand words – and six pics? Even better!

Sassafras Lane is Spicing Up Market

I love everything that Sassafras Lane does – and this Market is no different!  They bridge the gap between the traditionalists of my generation and the sassy style of theirs – and they do it beautifully!  Check these out.

Clay Court is a wonderful study in color.  Piecing the triangles out of 2-1/2″ strips adds texture and the triangles are created with the Perfect Square and Perfect Rectangle Ruler.

Darby Road looks like a funky hexie and is actually paper-pieced so it is simple!  And who wouldn’t love to adopt Elsie?  And the next time someone tells you to – Just Focus – make them this quilt!
