We are thrilled to announce that Rachel Cross and Sheila & John Waterfield will be joining us at Quilt Market in Houston.  Sheila is the genius that knew that quilting rulers would work so much better if they didn’t slide on the fabric – and then did something about it.  Yes, she is the woman behind the Gripper Dots – and the rest, as they say, is history.  She and John took an idea and turned it into the best quality rulers in the industry – that you all know as Creative Grids.

This is definitely a family organization!  Rachel is Sheila’s daughter.  She and her husband Matt run the United Kingdom branch of Creative Grids these days – with plenty of support from John and Sheila.  This is a rare opportunity to meet a dynasty that changed the face of quilting as we know it.  And, they are absolutely charming!

Fab Shop Dinner – Thursday Night – 6:00 – Doubletree Hotel

Rachel will be speaking at the Fab Shop Dinner that officially launches Quilt Market each year.  She will be featuring her new Double Strip Rulers that are a follow up to her hugely popular Strip Rulers that were released at Spring Market.  Be the first to learn how to use these new rulers that make it possible to piece more complicated units in half of the time!

School House – Room #361C – 11:15 a.m.

Friday, she will go into more depth in her School House that will be presented in room #361C at 11:15.  This schoolhouse will feature six new rulers Rachel designed for this Market as well as the Strip Rulers from Spring Market.  She will also be sharing quilts from the Jelly Roll Quilt books by Pam and Nicky Lintott that use these rulers.

In addition to the Double Strip rulers, Rachel has created two other rulers that make short work of cutting triangles for half-square triangles and quarter-square triangles.  She has done the math for you – and added the Turn Around feature that you all love.
