The Angler – a Twist with Style

Introducing the perfect class project!

The Angler just might be the “catchiest” bag yet! A flat layout makes for a nifty, unique design that can be sewn up quickly using fabric, vinyl mesh, clear vinyl, printed vinyl, jelly vinyl, cork, faux leather – the possibilities are endless! This bag can be stitched with as little as four seams when using cork or faux leather. Add a binding to vinyl mesh screen for a pop of color!

Tote cosmetics, pencils and markers, phone accessories, etc. with a flair of style. Fits nicely into a large purse or tote and is great for travel. Three sizes are included in the pattern. When taught in a three hour class every student finished at least two bags and some up to six bags. The sizes range from 4 x 7″ to 6 x 9″.

This is a great class to familiarize your students with cork, jelly vinyl, or jelly mesh. You can use zippers by the yard and show them how to use the Gypsy Quilter Zipper Jig to add zipper pulls.

Change or add a zipper pull with ease. Place the zipper pull in the appropriate channel with the zipper pull facing the back side of the jig. Place the ends of the zipper tape into the pull with the teeth also facing the back of the jig. Give a little tug on both tapes at once and your zipper pull is installed. It’s that easy.

The pattern is due to arrive next week so place your orders now. Don’t forget to order cork, vinyl, zipper pulls, zippers and the jig as well. What a great demo opportunity!

These are three new patterns By Annie and “reboots” of two favorites! You know if they are By Annie, they are quality through and through! Minimal supplies and just a little bit of time are all you need to make this simple wallet in three versions: one pocket, two pocket, and three pocket.

Use them to organize and carry cash, credit cards, loyalty cards, coupons, and more. Tuck in a gift card as a perfect gift for anyone on your list! The wallets are sized to fit in a pocket or small purse and have a flap with a hook & loop closure for secure storage.

Carry all the essentials in this streamlined wallet/purse in two sizes. Each purse features a flap that folds over and closes easily with hidden magnetic snaps. Multiple pockets inside and out make organization easy and are sized to carry everything from money and credit cards to a phone or checkbook.

A slip pocket on the exterior back is perfect for quick access to a phone, keys, shopping list, or other small items.Inside are several additional pockets: a small zippered pocket for coins, makeup, or other small items; a larger zippered pocket for currency or other larger items you want to keep safe and secure; and an even larger slip pocket which is perfect for a phone or checkbook!

Hidden between the interior zippered pockets and the slip pocket is another small compartment — it’s a good spot for a shopping list or keys! And beyond the slip pocket is another hidden pocket unit with slots to hold credit cards, room keys, loyalty cards, cash, and more.

Use the adjustable, detachable strap to carry the purse over the shoulder, crossbody, or around the waist. Or detach the strap and carry it as a clutch. Extra-easy to make, assembly of these stylish purses involves no quilting and NO bindings.

You’ll love its large easily-accessible interior. Slip and zippered pockets plus expanding dividers organize everything from personal needs to water bottles. Carry with quick-grab handles or use the adjustable padded straps to carry as a backpack. A trolley sleeve on back makes travel extra easy!

NOTE: This project has many pieces and multiple layers so is recommended for intermediate to advanced sewists using a sewing machine that can handle bulk. Courtside is an involved project that makes a great class for intermediate to advanced sewists. Students need a machine that can handle bulk, so it won’t be appropriate for many small take-to-class machines.

IMPORTANT:
We recommend that students read the pattern and watch the Add-on Videos before coming to class. To make best use of class time, we also recommend that they come to class with everything cut out and labeled for their project and that they complete the basic steps to cut and quilt the fabrics for the project.

So, they should complete all of step I. Cut and Quilt on pages 2 and 3 BEFORE coming to class.

Pretty and practical, these zippered bags with side handles and diagonal borders are quick and easy to make. The pattern includes complete instructions for bags in three sizes. They make great gifts!

Ditty Bags 2.0 is an update of our popular Ditty Bags pattern which was originally released in 2012. In addition to greatly improving the illustrations, we updated the instructions to make assembly easier and included instructions for working with directional fabrics. We put handles on both ends and changed the border to a diagonal border, adding the option of embellishing the border with decorative ribbon. We slightly tweaked some of the measurements and improved the process of attaching the Bag Sides to make a bag that ends up nice and square and stands up easily.

Carry lunch (or daily needs) in style in these compact yet roomy bags! Each features a zip-around, gusseted closure and sturdy base. Outer slip pockets and interior mesh pockets hold an ice pack, napkins, utensils, and more. ByAnnie’s Soft and Stable gives great stability, provides insulation for contents, and ensures that the bag will look great after repeated use/laundering.

The bags are also perfect for storing an iron at home or carrying it to class. The small bag will hold a mini iron such as the Oliso Mini and the large will fit many standard home irons. Be sure to measure your iron before sewing.

Out to Lunch 2.0 is an update of our popular Out to Lunch pattern which was originally released in 2016. In addition to improving the illustrations, we added a second size, updated the instructions to make assembly easier, improved the process of attaching the side panels to each side, and
added hardware to the handles which gives the option of attaching a carrying strap.

This creates the appearance of a feminine heirloom camisole, also making it difficult for a thief to identify its true purpose. The loops have delicate flatlock detail and above the decorative front, there is a zippered pocket extending the length of the safe with a lovely touch of scalloped edge lace along the bottom. Lastly, there is a hidden zipper pocket underneath for even more security and perfectly fits two passports. The entire safe is made on a serger! Around the outside is nicely finished piping around the curves and it is fully lined allowing for the option of having it reversible, 5mm Piping foot required. The napkins have two size options and are a basic two tone completely lined with rolled hem ties to wrap around. Slip a little candy candy inside for added decoration. Enjoy stitching this up while learning more about your machine. Final Dimensions Table Runner 34” x 13-1/2” and Napkins either 14” or 18” Square

Pucker Up Bag

I love the name and the style of this all purpose bag designed by Natalie Rawlinson of Bodobo Bags.

The handles are inserted through grommets for a professional finish. They pleat the top to enclose whatever is inside when traveling. But, when open, the handles are out of the way and the bag opens all of the way to easily see what is inside.

The instructions include two different sizes and options for multiple inside pockets and even a zippered pocket if you so desire! And, yes, we have you covered because Checker carries the 1″ grommets in a champagne, nickel and black. Why not add this to your class schedule? The pattern is due to arrive next month so place your orders now.
